Congratulations to Timo Boll (Germany) for winning the European Men's Singles for the 5th time when he beat his German team mate Patrick Baum by 4-1 in the final in Gdansk, Poland on Sunday 16 October. Timo was also unbeaten in the team event, helping Germany to a 3-0 victory over Sweden in the final.Congratulations also to Liam Pitchford who was England's best player. His victories in Gdansk included Vladimir Samsonov of Belarus and the leading Russian player, Alexey Smirnov. Congratulations also to the England Women's team of Jo Parker, Kelly Sibley and Emily Bates for winning the Challenge Division and gaining promotion to the Championship.
