Donic Bluegrip S1 Table Tennis Rubber

A little bit of extra hardness can make all the difference. The DONIC BLUEGRIP S1 is the proof. The new addition to the BLUEGRIP table tennis rubber series is slightly harder than BLUEGRIP S2, but significantly softer than the C1 and C2 versions. Thus, the BLUEGRIP S1 represents the missing element in the product range of this successful table tennis rubber series - the model for stronger professional players for whom the S2 is a little bit too soft, but who do not want to be without the touch and the feeling of rotation of a real BLUEGRIP rubber. The S1 has all the qualities of a real DONIC BLUEGRIP rubber: the characteristic sticky-elastic surface, the dynamic sponge that provides the corresponding catapult effect, and a balanced ratio of speed and control.

Donic Bluestar A1 Table Tennis Rubber

BLUESTAR has great potential to become the new star among the DONIC table tennis rubber sheets because of its new technology. The secret of BLUESTAR lies in its rubber sponge, which is completely different from all other sponges in the DONIC range. The developers have proudly called the underlying technology "Optimised Energy Sponge", OPTE for short. A small-pored sponge that sets new standards in terms of elasticity and dampening level due to its special composition, and you can feel this technology instantly when playing.  The fantastic catapult and speed characteristics make the DONIC BLUESTAR A1 an exceptional product. The top sheet, unlike the successful rubbers of DONIC’s BLUEGRIP C-Touch series, is only slightly sticky but extremely grippy. The former world champion Jörgen Persson is enthusiastic about this new development. "I have never before played such an excellent table tennis rubber," explained the Swedish legend. With a 52.5 degree sponge BLUESTAR A1 appears relatively hard but only at first glance. In the hands of professional players it quickly becomes a strong trump card. Nevertheless, also ambitious table tennis players who are not active at the top level can also enjoy BLUESTAR, although it is particularly recommended for players who practice intensively.

Extra hard 52.5° sponge.

Butterfly Ilius S Table Tennis Rubber

Ilius S is the first long pimpled rubber with “Absorber Sponge Heavy” technology developed by Butterfly. The top sheet is quite hard with pimples whose aspect ratio is at the highest limit permitted. The combination of the top sheet and “Absorber Sponge Heavy” makes it easier to push and to return an opponent’s attack with a low defensive shot with heavy or minimal spin. The rubber is recommended for defensive players, enabling subtle changes as well as stability in rallies.   The top sheet is the most important element of long pimpled rubbers, and the same top sheet has been adopted for both the Ilius S and the Ilius B. To bring out the characteristics of these long pimpled rubbers, the pimple shape was designed to be as thin and high as rules allow. In addition, the durability of the top sheet has more than doubled* compared to the Feint Long III, which has a similar pimple shape, this is due to the compounds used to achieve durability whilst maintaining the performance of the rubber. * Discovered via the unique tests of rubber strength by the Butterfly Research and Development Department.   Butterfly has developed sponges such as Spring Sponge that have contributed to the evolution of the offensive game. Using knowledge gained through those experiences, during the development of the Ilius series we not only focused on developing new top sheets which are often seen as the important element of long pimpled rubbers, but also focused on the development of new sponges that add to the variation. As a result, the British green Absorber Sponge Heavy used in Ilius S and the Turquoise green Absorber Sponge Drop used in Ilius B were developed. The two sponges are hard; the hardness of “Heavy” is 45, and the hardness of “Drop” is 48. If the sponge is hard, the pimples will bend more, thus greater effects will be obtained. Generally, the harder the sponge, the more difficult it is to control as the speed of the ball off the racket gets faster. However, Absorber Sponge Heavy/Drop absorbs the energy of the opponent’s ball well even during hard impact, so you can have high stability while taking advantage of the variation.  .     The sponge absorbing the impact Absorber Sponge Heavy: The Sponge absorbs the impact of the ball well whilst maintaining the ease of which the pimples bend. Therefore, the Ilius S equipped with this sponge allows for stable chops and pushes with heavier spin

Butterfly Ilius B Table Tennis Rubber

Ilius B is the first long pimpled rubber with “Absorber Sponge Drop” technology developed by Butterfly. The top sheet is quite hard with pimples whose aspect ratio is at the highest limit permitted. The combination of the top sheet and “Absorber Sponge Drop” provides high performance when playing short over the table, such as chop blocks. In addition, innovative attacking and defensive play are both possible, making best use of the characteristics of the long pimples, such as for low backhand shots with minimal spin.    The top sheet is the most important element of long pimpled rubbers, and the same top sheet has been adopted for both the Ilius S and the Ilius B. To bring out the characteristics of these long pimpled rubbers, the pimple shape was designed to be as thin and high as rules allow. However, Absorber Sponge Heavy/Drop absorbs the energy of the opponent’s ball well even during hard impact, so you can have high stability while taking advantage of the variation.     The pimples bending well due to the hard sponge Absorber Sponge Drop: When combined with a stiffer sponge, the pimples are more likely to bend, resulting in variation. The Ilius B equipped with this sponge demonstrates its qualities and capabilities best when you want to handle an opponent's ball close to the table during shots such as blocks or drop shots.

Butterfly Tenergy 19 Table Tennis Rubber

Designed with a smaller pimple diameter, this rubber provides extra control plus, with the combination of the newly developed top sheet, the power is increased compared with the rest of the Tenergy range.  Tenergy 19 produces extra spin with superior performance.  Due to the thinner pimples, the ball will sink into the rubber a lot easier and flatten the pimples which creates a holding effect on the ball.  The power then explodes through the rubber as the pimples are so close together.  With Tenergy 19 the ball will fly with a more curved trajectory when compared to Tenergy 05 making it easier to place the ball deeper on the table.  The improved grip also makes it easier to counter-topspin and is great for the ”banana” flick.  As used by Suthasini Sawettabut. Spring Sponge – The Spring Sponge is a totally new sponge Butterfly created. The most notable feature is a sense of holding balls, which belongs to a different category to any other existing rubbers. Spring Sponge was realized by the exquisite material composition and air inside; it holds and pushes balls with expansion and contraction like a spring, allowing you to control spin, speed and direction of the ball at will.

One is the black “Carbo Sponge”, which uses a carbon composite and provides more efficient energy usage when contacting the ball. The sponge is comparably lighter to other rubbers. The rubber is also produced with “Dynamic Friction” technology, which is based around design of a snow tyre to produce spin on the plastic ball due to the extra grip. Vega X also takes advantage of “Cycloid” technology, which enhances the trajectory of the ball. These designs are used in the “Elasto Futura” generation of rubbers from Xiom.

Dr Neubauer A-B-S 2 Evo Table Tennis Rubber

A new and improved version of the original “A-B-S” anti-spin rubber. This has been developed to enhance the spin reversal against topspin with the plastic ball. Another benefit is to make the ball’s trajectory lower when blocking close at the table against topspin.  This kills any speed on oncoming attacks and makes it difficult for the opposing player to play a strong shot.  All active shots, including active blocking against topspin, work best with the thinner sponge versions 1.8 and 2.1mm.  The thicker sponge versions 2.3 and 2.5mm are slower and provide more control for passive blocking.

Butterfly Dignics 09C Table Tennis Rubber

Now with a harder version of the “Spring Sponge X”, Dignics 09c offers more spin value, creating a greater curved trajectory. The sticky surface and harder sponge will give players more control for an attacking topspin game. The pimple size has been adjusted to be thicker at the base, creating a safer counter-topspin and greater control to change the speed of the ball.     The pursuit of flexibility and bounce Following an extensive nine-year research program, Spring Sponge X was developed to generate more power. It response increased by 14%, with impact resilience enhanced by 3% compared to the current Spring Sponge; the result is a big difference in the level of power produced.
