Winning the Welsh Cadet Nationals, Reaching the quarter-finals at Cardiff Grand Prix Senior Open Event, Qualified to play European Youths 2020, Bronze Medal in the Team event at the British Champs (Isle of Man) and Second in JBL Division 2.
He plays with a Korbel SK7 blade with Tenergy 05 on the forehand and Dignics 80 on the backhand.
His table tennis role model is Hugo Calderano. He inspires Rhys because he has very big shots that he aspires to develop. He is mentally very strong, has excellent serves, he is very physically fit, and uses different methods to maintain and improve his fitness.
He aims to play Commonwealth Games representing Wales and to play professionally for a club in the long term. In the short term, he aims to win the Welsh Cadet and Junior Nationals, to play more tournaments in England and reach the top 5 Cadets in the UK.
