Product Reviews for Butterfly Zhang Jike Super ZLC OFF+ Table Tennis Blade

Bought this blade from TeesSport in 2015 and have used about it for about 5 hours a week every week. 7 years later it's now worn out I won't be getting another one. Plus side - It is quick and it's very good at looping away from the table. Originally I had T05 FX (max) on my bh but I couldn't control a defensive shot so I had to change from max -> 1.7mm. That helped and it's been a reasonable bat ever since but it's nothing special. The worst part is the so called "large sweet spot", which basically doesn't exist. It's just a reasonable bat at a very unreasonable price.

Having used one of these blades for a couple of years now I considered I should commit my thoughts on the blade to paper. I must say I was impressed with the blade form the start with one exception which still lets the product down. It is everything you would expect from Butterfly in terms of quality and the greater sweet spot is not just a gimmick. I recently thought I would go back to an older blade - a Jhang Jike Butterfly ZLC. which I rated very highly. It was a sobering experience going back to that blade and served to demonstrate how good the Super ZLC is. And what is the one exception that doesnt allow me to give it 5 stars - the size of the handle. I have used a number of butterfly blades and usually the handles are perfect and make the bat feel just right. This one unfortunately is just too skinny. I use over wrap on the blade handle which helps, but I would have preferred a thicker handle and be able to grip the wood. It is unusual for Butterfly and particularly on such a great blade that they do this. By the the I dont have freakishly big hands, indeed probably on the smaller side.Hope this is informative. In summary probably the best blade I have used, slightly spoiled by the handle size (I use a straight handle)

Fastest blade I have ever played with great feel with the blade. The blade is very responsive and takes some getting used to once you adjust to the speed the shots you can produce are outstanding!
